Words from Pete Griffin the Campaign Director of the EAC(Energy Action Coalition)
The EPA's ability to do its job will be under assault tomorrow when Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski attempts to gut the Clean Air Act's ability to regulate dirty coal plants and carbon in the atmosphere. We can't let Sen. Murkowski and the dirty coal and oil groups that support her impede progress so they can maintain their record profits at the expense of our health and our future.
If Murkowski succeeds, it will send a message to opponents of passing climate legislation this spring that they can kill the bill. We can't let that happen. America needs to move to a clean energy economy that will create jobs, cut pollution and enhance our security. The Murkowski proposal is a delay tactic that is stalling real progress, and will take us in the opposite direction.
How You Can Help: Call Your Senator ...If you are in ATL that's Saxby Chambliss (678) 589-4888 & Johnny Isakson (770) 661-0999
