So the Curren$y,J-lie & Fat Kid's Brotha Concert was last night...It was a night I can say that much..I swear it was AUC thing, I damn near saw everyone who walks the promenade at Clark Atlanta & A couple of GA State students but anywho...Despite the cold & rainy weather people showed up and showed out. Dj Don Cannon did his thing as usual keeping the crowd hype until the show started. J-lie went 1st then Fat Kids Brotha a group whom I had never heard until last night, they were alright but I'm gonna have to take a 2nd listen then Curren$y finally hit the stage at 1:00! Dr.Martin Luther King Jr.(Jan.15.1929) was more than just a great man. He was monumental, he was a Student,Teacher, Activist, Preacher, & Father. Dr. King fought for equality for everyone, the road wasn't easy buy any means necessary but with help his mission for Equality & Civil Rights was eventually accomplished. People of color have come along way but the struggle hasn't ended but thanks to Dr.King and other activist like Rosa Parks, Stokely Carmichael, Angela Davis, Malcolm X and many others the road to Freedom & Civil Rights will never be forgotten.

Aaliyah Dana Haughton (Jan 16,1979) was one of the greatest singers to me in a long time..Before there was a Rihanna,Jordin Sparks,Letoya Luckett whoever there was Aaliyah. Her voice was strong but yet so soft. She had many great hits but her stunning looks and outgoing personality will never be forgotten. When I was in elementary & middle school Aaliyah was the girl who you wanted to be. I used to get my hair done just like her, oh those were the days. On August 25, 2001 Aaliyah and 8 others died in a fatal plane crash, that was a couple of days before my 13th birthday my mom didn't want to tell me the news..Once she told me All I could do was cry..Now we have the memory of her beauty and her wonderful Music... R.I.P AALIYAH

Today another great voice has passed on...Teddy Pendergrass has died at the age of 59, he was recovering from colon cancer. For those of you who dont know Teddy P was one of the most soulful voices of the 70's & 80's he was injured in a car accident that left him paralyzed but he kept performing in a wheelchair anyway. He will live forever through his music, Keep his family in your prayers, So Turn Off The Lights & Light a candle for Teddy P....
